Amazing stay, couldn’t have been any better!

Unfortunately this time we didn’t quite get to complete our trip due to unforeseen circumstances. But I will say I have stayed here in the past and everything looks exactly like the photos and Mark is very responsive, the house is just like how the pictures look. When I do come back to Phoenix I think this will be our go to spot!

Mark’s home is very clean and well stocked. The interior and exterior decor is well put together and beautiful! Our family of 5 was very comfortable. We loved the plentiful activities- basketball court, tv in every room, pool table, foosball, ping pong, jacuzzi, pool with waterside (and plenty of pool toys/ floats) , and even a deck of cards. We were very entertained without needing to leave! The spacious kitchen is stocked with all the tools/ appliances you need. The lighting is plentiful. Beds are very comfortable and clean. Mark was very easy to contact and responsive- remember you need to reach out to turn on the water slide! He was a wonderful host and flexible. We ran a little behind at checkout and we appreciated his understanding. We look forward to our next visit! Definitely will book again :) Thanks for the relaxing fun filled weekend!

We had a great stay! It was a very nice house—clean, spacious, and well-equipped, especially in the kitchen. The kids really enjoyed the pool, which was a highlight of the trip. The home had everything we needed, though we could’ve used a few more pool towels and regular towels. Considering the amount of times we had to wash them for clean ones .

Not any fault to the owner but lots of nosy people looking over the fence watching what we were doing. Love the fans and covered porch. Quiet time is 8pm not 9pm, the listing is incorrect.

Awesome backyard in Scottsdale, loved the place!

This place was a perfect space with tons of activities to do at the house, and for a great price. Mark was very responsive and made our stay stress free.

Stayed for four nights with some friends and family. Mark's place was perfect. The second kitchen and living room was great for my brother's family since they have a younger son. Made it possible for him to take naps without everyone else waking him up. The pool was peaceful and got great sun and shade depending on the time of day. Beds were super comfortable.

The home was perfect for our large family. It had amenities and entertainment features that provided an absolutely memorable vacation. The top 5 things we loved most was the outdoor kitchen dining area, the kids loved the water slide, the kitchen was well appointed and made meal prep easy. The bedroom layout with 2 different wings allowed us to put parents with kids on one side. The basketball court was a hit and we had many mini tournaments! Thank you again Mark for your hospitality !

Mark hosted 10 of us for our Scottsdale golf trip. This home met superior expectations. Lot more room than we imagined. The location was close to everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Especially since we didn’t get to hop on the pool.

We had 3 families staying at the house for Spring Training and enjoyed our trip thoroughly! There was lots to do for the kids between the basketball hoop, pool table, pool slide and hot tub. The house was comfortable and spread out and the backyard was amazing to enjoy the sun and pool. Any issue that we had, Mark was quick to respond to. Wished we could have stayed longer.

The location was exactly as shown/described and the communication was exceptional. We were given clear and accurate instructions on entering the property and how to use certain amenities on the property. Mark was proactive in his communication so we never had to reach out to him with immediate questions. He answered all important questions before they ever had to be asked. If we ever needed clarification on anything, he was quick to respond. It was a phenomenal experience and a great property.

Great place for a group trip. Hot tub, pool, games, basketball court. We would definitely book this place again

The backyard was amazing - great sunny exposure to the pool with lots of seating under the covered patio. The pool was consistently heated to expectations. We traveled with 2 families (6 kids) and split the house with 3 bedrooms (2 king bedrooms, 1 with 2 twins) on one side and 2 on the other side (1 king bed and a 4-twin bedroom). The space and accommodations were great for sharing between 2 families, and Mark was responsive but the cleanliness and upkeep was not great. There was an excessive amount of dust on the walls near every vent. The beds in the 4-twin bedroom were lopsided, some using casters and wheels and other legs with rubber stands at different heights. The traffic noise from 56th was loud so be sure to bring sound machines. Also, the room with 4 twin beds connects to the garage and locks from inside the garage so it felt unsettling to have kids in a room that wasn't able to be secured. Also, the slide had several times missing and cut the kids legs on their way down.

We enjoyed everything about our stay . The house was very clean , check in was easy and everything was well explained. We thoroughly enjoyed the back yard pool and basketball . It was overall a great experience that we hope to do again soon .

Place was nice for a bigger group. The only problem we had was the hot tub did not work for most of the nights we were there which was disappointing. This was a main reason we booked the place but overall it was good.

Perfect spot for our golf weekend. This Scottsdale house comfortably fit all 8 of us, with plenty of space, a well equipped kitchen, and a great backyard with a pool and hot tub to relax after rounds. Close to top courses, restaurants, and nightlife. The host was super responsive. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Mark and the house were both fantastic. We had a group of 8 guys staying for a golf trip and the house was plenty big enough. We cooked most nights and the kitchen or Outdoor BBQ had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space with the pool and hot tub as well. Mark was great throughout responding to any questions we had promptly. There was an issue with the hot tub we noticed on our first morning, so I messaged him about it and he had someone out to fix it in under 30 mins. I’ve never had a response time like that! I would highly recommend staying at this house, or any of Mark’s properties!

Our stay was great. We will stay there next time for sure. Great central place to the stuff we enjoy in Scottsdale. I was concerned about being on a corner next to a main road but it wasn't super busy and even in the back yard it was still a quiet place. Again I would stay again.

This is our favorite Airbnb to rent out! This is our second time going back! Mark is a great host who is always responsive and helpful if needed. He doesn’t micromanage the house like other hosts have done, making our stay comfortable and relaxing. House is clean, spacious and beautiful! Our kids love the Waterslide and large pool. Lots of activities such as pool table, fooseball, and ping pong table! Will definitely request this house again when we visit Arizona! Thanks Mark!

Overall was just what we needed. No pantry so couldnt put groceries away. I personally felt like I bothered the owner every time I had to ask for the slide to be turned on and there are limits to usage, it overall didn't effect our stay, but it was a tad inconvenient. Didnt get to enjoy hot tub due to it being too hot, but we didn't realize where the buttons were! There also limits to the AC cant be lower then 72, again as a local i understand, but this was hard as i like to sleep with it t 69. Some of the Tvs couldn't get Netflix to work had to use our own accounts, tvs a bit small considering how big the spaces were so couldnt enjoy like a movie as a family. There was some things left like hair, dirty towel stuffed in bathroom drawer, somethings were broken, the pool table could use new sticks, no pool light so made it hard to swim at night. The big Roaches all outside and one in the extra kitchen. Typical for this ime of year and location, but would recommend spraying.

We had a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend with extended family. The central living area in the house is great for hanging out and the outdoor area was just PERFECT. All in all it was a perfect fit for what we needed.

Highly recommended! Great communication by host. We barely left the house bc the backyard had everything we needed. We did not have a car but Ubers were all in the $10 range to get to hike/nature walk, grocery store, restaurants. Check-in was late (around 4pm and we arrive from the east coast at 9:30am) but Mark let us know when it was available early and had given us recommendations of hotel pools that were not expensive at all so we were able to kill some time in the sunshine. (Try Hotel Adeline which was $25 and had great tacos). Keurig did not work when we got there- within an hour of telling our host, he had a new one sent to the house. All nine of my friends had their own bed. I stayed in the primary bedroom which has a large private bath, walk-in closet, and patio access. It was some of the best nights sleep I ever had. Honestly, it was the most comfortable bed ever. I messaged Mark to ask where he got the pillows! You won’t regret booking here.

Mark's place was wonderful. Backyard oasis was great - kids were constantly outside in the pool, hot tub or playing basketball or in the yard. Waterslide feature in pool was cool. You can tell it was a company-owned home because of the formality and lack of personalized communication. The negatives were the basketball court is not as nice as advertised, and almost everything you asked for came with an extra fee. But all in all, a great place for a bachelor party and a fun place to spend a long weekend

Mark’s place was great! He was very communicative and even helped me change dates after I already booked and my plans changed. The only thing that let me down was the basketball court and dart board weren’t the same as advertised in the pictures.

Awesome Airbnb. Mark was an extremely gracious host. We had an early flight into Phoenix and he was able to accommodate an early check in which we really appreciated it. The place itself was really clean and it had so many things to do that we were never bored when we stayed at the house. Also the beds were extremely comfortable and having 3 full bathrooms for our large group was perfect and made getting ready efficient. Whenever we needed something I would call Mark would answer and was able to provide an answer right away. I would definitely book again.

Never a boring moment. Old Scottdale is nearby, and so are many of the best restaurants. The home was fully air conditioned and helped us revitalize from the Arizona heat. Massive kitchen with living area, pool table, large bedrooms, washrooms are spacious and plenty of hot water. There was always something to do and the swimming pool was the best part. Layout of the home was excellent. Very spacious and plenty of space for all ten of us staying there. Mark was very attentive if we had a need of any kind. House was very clean and well kept. A couple of outdoor areas by the pool could be freshened up a bit. But, overall, the house was great.

Perfect place for 12 people. Beautiful pool, grill and outside space. Great double kitchen for a large group. Beautiful lemon trees and grass lawn. Pool table was a huge hit! Bedrooms were spacious, tons of bathrooms, amazing washer and dryer.

Great place to stay with complete privacy and all the amenities where you don’t have to leave the property. We stayed with 12 people and had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The outdoor space is great, pool was warm and the lawn and games kept everyone entertained. The location is convenient for getting around Scottsdale, we were able to have all our groceries delivered from the local Costco. There are at least 4 pack and plays at this property and a single high chair. Easy check-in/check-out and Mark was a great communicator.

Mark was responsive. Pool heater went out, tech was there within an hour (and had to replace the heater, so not a cheap/quick fix). Was working shortly.

This home was perfect for our needs on this trip. Loved the kitchen; might have been one of the best stocked kitchens that we have ever encountered in a rental home. Backyard area was beautiful.

We had 10 guests stay here and most were clients. We had plenty of room and we were able to play pool in the back most of the night. Everyone was comfortable and had a place to sleep, which was great. Will definitely reserve the house the next time we take clients to Scottsdale.

The place was solid. Everything went smoothly. For larger groups, make sure you bring extra bathroom soap since they only provide the base amount. Mark was friendly and easy to communicate with. The Airbnb was clean and we had no issues. The area itself has mosquitos, so if you come to Arizona during the summer, make sure you bring insect repellent.

This house fits large groups perfectly. Tons to do from foosball, billiards, air hockey, swimming, spa, and basically hanging around with family and friends. It was very clean, and well furnished. The pool was nice and had a super fun slide too!

This house was great for our group of 7 (5 adults and 2 kids). Plenty of rooms and beds and 3 bathrooms was nice. The pool was amazing in the heat and there was plenty of shade on the patio. The location is convenient to lots of stores and restaurants. Mark was a great host and was very easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again.

Recently remodeled Indoor space was perfect for our group of 11. The bathrooms and kitchen were top notch. We also greatly enjoyed the outdoor spaces, especially the pool and hot tub. Some additional yard games would have been nice besides the table games shown in pictures. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay.

The house was beautiful! It is exactly what you expect! My family and I went to celebrate my birthday and get away from some snow and we had a wonderful time. We will definitely be going back there. Mark is a wonderful host who responds quickly and is available to answer any questions you may have. We loved his home so much we barely stepped out, we spent most of our time with our family and having BBQs. Thank you again Mark for a wonderful stay!

This is a very great and outstanding home. Great for the kids, family gathering and intimate settings around the home. You don’t need to go no where! This home has everything you would want and would not expect.

Our group of 10 (4 adults and 6 teenagers) enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving at Mark’s house. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and on the basketball court. The outdoor area was great for evening dinner, card games and family time. We found the location to be super convenient as any stores we needed were nearby (Walmart, Sprouts, liquor store, mall, etc all within 2 miles) and it was 20 minutes to the airport. Mark was very responsive and helpful along the way. He is a great host.

It was an amazing place with so much room for our family. The kids had a blast in the pool and playing basketball and air hockey. The kitchen is amazing and enabled us ample room for making meals! Everyone had plenty of spaces to sit either inside or outside. Oh and the barbecue was awesome. So big and easy to use!! We would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

Great host and great place

The pool is huge and just what we were hoping for! We came for a getaway with our kids to swim, watch movies, play games, and get takeout, and Mark’s place was really perfect for that. We enjoyed the big kitchen and found it well stocked with everything we needed.

Overall, we would definitely stay here again. We LOVED the pool and that’s where we spent most of our time. This rental definitely had a lot of nice finishing touches and the pictures are mostly what you get. The place was tidy/in order but the deep cleanliness seemed rushed which was a little disappointing with knowing the virus is growing in AZ. There were folded bathroom towels that still had hair in them (we just rewashed everything), spill messes around the kitchen cabinets, and the dishwasher smelled so we didn’t use it, etc. I would have appreciated a layout photo in the posting instead of the photo that inaccurately shows a pool table inside. We were actually really looking forward to a pool table inside with 110 degree weather but there is only one outside. There doesn’t seem to be any weather stripping on the back door which lets some warm air in but as long as you’re not keeping the door open for long periods of time, the house stays fairly cool. The rental does have a TV in all 5 bedrooms which was nice. There are also multiple areas to hang out if you have a large group. There were definitely some things that I would have wanted to know prior to booking, such as, no pool table inside as pictured during my booking, the water slide time limit, the A/C rules, etc. But again even with the additional rules and “surprises”, I would definitely stay here again because it is a great place for a large group to have plenty of things to do without going out.

Amazing backyard. Had a great time

So first thing, the host was extremely nice and polite. I can’t say anything bad about that. Any question I hade he had an answer. However the experience and expectations had let downs. So the inside of the house is very updated. However there are lots of cosmetic fixes that should be done, especially at the price per night. There were holes in the master bath tile. Several doors have dents or dings. The Master bedroom had holes where the old curtains used to hang. I know these are cosmetic but at the cost those should be repaired or looked at constantly. It brings down the elegance of the home. This is supposed to be a high end getaway. The AC works surprisingly well and keeps the house cool, but is extremely loud, the unit sits right outside the master and almost keeps you up all night. B-ball court needs to be repainted. Foosball table feels like it’s going to collapse if used. Pictures need to show the lack of the indoor pool table. The pool experience was extremely disappointing. This was the main reason we even booked an Airbnb instead of a hotel. So there was a wind storm the day we arrived. The pool was full of vegetation. No big deal. I cleaned it out. I talked to the host he said the pool cleaner would be coming to check chemicals the next day. Pool guy came next day and poured chlorine powder over the whole pool and said it would be fine in a few hours. When he tossed the chlorine with us all sitting outside we all started choking on the powder dust blowing around. So we had to go find things to do since that was the main reason to rent the home for the pool. 6 hours later we got into the pool. There was so much chlorine in the pool my wife got hives from the chemicals. After that we never touched the pool again. Water slide had sitting stagnant water on the rocks which attracted bugs and birds. We constantly had to clean off bird droppings for my daughter to use the slide. The Slide was on a random timer which made my daughter crazy. One day it comes on at 10am one day 9ish, seemed just random. Landscaping people showed up on a day that they weren’t supposed to. There’s not much privacy when maintenance people are always showing up. Kitchen was very nice. All appliances worked. House seemed mostly cleaned except my daughter found dirty towels under her bed. The house is on the corner of a residential street and a main busy street. Extremely loud road noise outside when your by the pool with no construction going on. It is simply way too much traffic. Overall for the price we would have been better off at a hotel nearby.

This place is absolutely magnificent! Very modern and well built. I highly recommended this place to anyone who enjoys relaxing and getting away from everything. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. Definitely a trip for the books! 10/10

We had some maintenance challenges during our stay, but Mark/Selene were very responsive + willing to help. Would recommend this property to families looking for a Scottsdale retreat.

We had a fabulous time. You are spot on with details to accommodate a large family, even though we didn’t not fill to capacity. While you had an incredibly well stocked kitchen and house, we found a few things that we were very happy to buy and leave for the next guests can enjoy. We know things can go missing over years. Our kids had a blast and ask when we can come back next!! Hopefully soon!!! Loved the house and accommodations!!

We had a great stay! Our group had 6 adults and 5 children (ages infant to 3 years) and we were very comfortable. The house was spacious and the backyard was amazing. We enjoyed the pool (it was heated and the temperature was perfect for January swimming). The hot tub was great too. It was very nice that the lawn area was separate from the pool so the kids could play without too much worry that they could fall in. However, you still have to watch young children VERY closely since the pool is not gated and the door knobs inside the house are reachable by children. My 18 month old could open the doors if they were not locked. This is not a complaint, just something to watch for. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Selene’s place was amazing to stay at. They were quick to respond with any questions I had. The pool table and basketball court were a big hit for us, and the heated pool was so nice and comfortable to swim in during the winter! Would definitely recommend staying here and will be coming back in the future.

The house at Charter Oak was awesome! The kitchen/dining/living area is great for large groups to interact and feel connected. The pool/hot tub is well maintained and the BBQ fired up with ease. I would recommend the rental to anyone with a large group. Thank you again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Charter Oak House. Backyard has all the amenities, pool, hot tub, grass, fabulous BBQ area. Nice open concept inside for everyone to spread out, lot's of seating areas. Lots of room for our group of 12 to celebrate Thanksgiving. Kitchen island is a great spot to gather, however it would be nice to have a bit larger dining table for a group of our size. Feels like you have 2 separate wings.

Amazing spot for a guys weekend away. Good proximity to golf courses, Old Town Scottsdale, TopGolf/Talking Stick, etc. And then amazing amenities to come back to, including a great pool and slide for those 100+ days and a big bbq for that tri tip dinner. We will be back for sure

The location of this place was great, it was on a nice quiet road, in a great location, close to everything, the facilities were great, and responses were rapid from the hosts, there are a few easy things they could do to make this place better. Firstly, we stayed for 7 days & during this time, we had people walk into the garden on Tuesday (gardeners), Thursday or Friday(can't remember which day) (pool cleaner) Saturday (someone come to put something in the pool) & Monday before we checked out (gardeners) although the people that came out, were really friendly, we had no prior notice or wasn't mentioned in welcome pack etc, so it was quite alarming for them to just walk in, whilst in the pool area etc could also be an issue if you have small children, so just a mention of this would be good, or even put this into your welcome book. Secondly, this is another simple fix, the master bedroom backs onto the back yard, and has patio windows, with only a translucent netting, so although it is private, you can't really sleep past 6am and the room is very bright as no curtains or blinds to block out the sunlight, which if you are on vacation, you do want to lie in. This is also an issue with people walking into the garden as mentioned earlier as you may be getting changed etc in the bedroom. A simple blind or curtain would easily fix this issue. Finally, just a couple of picky fixes, the one living room window has the same translucent netting up, which is fine in the day as the road is very quiet but at night with the lights on, you can clearly see straight into the house, a simple blind will fix this issue, and they have blinds up the other living room windows, so unsure why they chose to not put one up this window. - On arrival, the house was very clean but there was a few ants around, so you have to ensure everything is kept clean, after a couple of days, however this wasn't an issue, as regular hoovering etc there wasn't many ants towards the end of the week. This place was more than expected! I grew up in a large Italian family and the 10 brothers got together in Scottsdale for my younger brothers 50th birthday. We came from 3 different countries for our first get together in years and it was an awesome weekend. Place was excellent, open floor plan with a great back yard. We will definitely try to book it again next year!

This is a great house. We had a group of 10 people in town for a conference. There was plenty of space for a comfortable stay. They yard and pool are amazing. It made it hard to leave the house for the conference during the day.

All in all a good spot. Clean house, no real hidden surprises and a decent location. A few minor issues with the hot tub and dishwasher that were not resolved in the timeliest matter, but other that a good house for a large group.

Everything at the house went great for our group over the weekend ( 8 total). We had a few questions that popped up here and there and the house manager was very responsive to all of them. All in all, we had a blast and would recommend the house to anyone looking to stay in the Scottsdale area with a big group for an extended period of time. - Mark

Great location and unbelievable amount of things to do

Place is nice and clean but you can not invite a friend for dinner unless you pay extra !!! The house had minimum amount of towels and linens and not even a blanket. There was not enough detergent or even a sponge for dishes
